Job summary

Trex is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead continuous improvement in a manufacturing setting in Winchester, VA. You will drive quality initiatives, coordinate with the Quality Manager, and implement data-driven solutions to reduce defects and variability.

You will develop and apply measurement methods, including vision systems, and prepare monthly quality reports while collaborating with suppliers and internal teams. This role emphasizes safety, integrity, and operating with excellence.

Qualifications

• Requires Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification.
• Basic knowledge of PPAP, FMEA, and ISO systems.
• Preferred backgrounds in quality data collection and SPC.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams to improve product quality.
• Update and execute Trex’s Quality Management System with the Quality Manager.
• Establish SPC and visual management in manufacturing operations.
• Analyze data to identify continuous improvement opportunities and drive to resolution.
• Support customer service feedback as the quality contact and investigate root causes.
