Job summary

Estée Lauder Companies in Melville is seeking a Quality Engineer II to lead quality strategy, manage risk, and ensure regulatory compliance across manufacturing operations. You will oversee investigations, drive CAPAs, and mentor a small QE team in data analysis and problem solving.

You will collaborate with packaging, manufacturing, and supplier teams to minimize quality disruptions, support new product launches, and uphold GMP, ISO 22716, and FDA standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Science, or equivalent experience (10+ years in a related field).
• ASQ or Lean Certification preferred.
• 5% travel requirement

Responsibilities

• Oversee consumer complaint, deviation, and quality inquiry investigations, and review investigation quality and effectiveness of corrective actions.
• Lead complex, high-risk, and systemic investigations across manufacturing and packaging operations.
• Apply advanced root cause analysis tools and ensure robust, risk-based CAPAs are developed and sustained.
• Partner with site Quality leadership on significant quality issues originating within the Melville site.
• Provide higher-level technical guidance for on-floor troubleshooting and packaging components.
