Job summary

The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. is seeking a QC Laboratory Technician to support microbiological testing and environmental monitoring in a fast-paced quality control environment.

You will perform routine microbial testing, maintain documentation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 2–3 years of lab experience, GMP/GDP knowledge, and flexibility to work shifts; competitive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in a microbiology laboratory in QC for a global consumer goods or pharmaceutic company.
• Knowledge of GMP, GDP and Good Lab Practices; proficient with lab equipment (Autoclave, pH meters, balances).
• Knowledge of Environmental Monitoring collection (Viable & Non-Viable Air, Surfaces).
• Proficient oral and written communication and ability to communicate with management.
• Ability to write SOPs, deviations, change controls and OOS reports.
• Problem solving skills and ability to work in a high pace environment.
• Knowledge of cosmetic ingredients & manufacturing procedures preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, SAP, and LIMS is preferred.
• Must be flexible to work different shifts and overtime.
• Must be able to lift 35 lbs.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 2-3 years of applicable work experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute QC lab testing (85%), monitor Critical Control Parameters and alert management for out-of-trend events.
• Conduct microbiological testing of raw materials, mass, and finished goods per SOPs.
• Prepare media and reagents for microbiological testing.
• Collect environmental monitoring samples (Viable & Non-Viable Air, Surfaces).
• Enter information in LIMS/SAP as required for job activities.
• Review laboratory documentation and manage supplies.
• Identify quality problems and escalate to leadership; communicate improvements.
