Job summary

Sterling Engineering in Wisconsin is seeking a Quality Engineer with 2+ years of manufacturing experience and hands-on IATF 16949 experience to support a growing precision operation.

You will lead root cause analysis, carry out corrective actions, and collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers to improve process capability and reduce scrap. Strong communication and data analysis skills are essential as you participate in APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and audits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Quality Engineering/Quality Systems experience in manufacturing.
• IATF 16949 experience required.
• Automotive manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 QMS.
• Lead root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement.
• Support APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and MSA.
• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Suppliers, and Customers on quality issues.
• Analyze quality data, reduce scrap, and improve process capability.
• Support internal, customer, and supplier audits.
• Investigate customer complaints and internal nonconformances.
