Job summary

Qualifications

Day Shift

Position Summary

We are seeking a Quality Engineer – IATF 16949 to support and continuously improve the site's Quality Management System (QMS). This position will be responsible for ensuring compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, customer-specific requirements, and internal quality standards.

The Quality Engineer will serve as a key resource for quality systems, internal and external audits, management reviews, corrective actions, customer requirements, and audit preparedness. This role will work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, Materials, Human Resources, Supplier Quality, and Leadership teams to improve processes, maintain compliance, and drive continual improvement.

Key Responsibilities

IATF 16949 Quality Management System

• Maintain and improve the site's IATF 16949 Quality Management System.
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 requirements, customer-specific requirements, and internal procedures.
• Manage quality system documentation, including procedures, work instructions, forms, process maps, and records.
• Review and implement changes to IATF requirements, sanctioned interpretations, and customer-specific requirements.
• Coordinate document control activities and ensure proper revision management.

Internal & External Audits

Corrective Actions & Continuous Improvement

Management Review & KPI Governance

• Coordinate Management Review activities in accordance with IATF requirements.
• Maintain quality system metrics and reporting processes.
• Analyze quality KPIs, including:
• Audit completion and closure rates
• LPA completion and effectiveness
• Customer concerns
• Prepare executive summaries and leadership reports.

Required Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher in Engineering, Quality, Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Equivalent manufacturing and quality systems experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, or Quality Systems.
• Experience supporting or maintaining an IATF 16949-certified Quality Management System.
• Experience conducting internal audits and supporting external audits.
• Experience with corrective actions, risk assessments, and process improvement initiatives.
• Knowledge of customer-specific requirements and AIAG Core Tools.
• Automotive manufacturing experience preferred.

Technical Skills
