Job summary

GAF is seeking a Quality Engineer to support plant quality culture, calibrations, COA, and material/testing records. You will work with process experts to reduce variation in finished goods and equipment, aiming to meet OEE and other business objectives.

Your role includes applying statistical quality control, leading quality improvement projects, and coordinating with procurement and suppliers to enhance material quality while updating SOPs and quality manuals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Chemical or Industrial preferred).
• Understanding of engineering fundamentals including root cause analysis, statistical process control, lean/agile approaches and structured problem solving.
• Ability to translate technical data into a format/language suitable for personnel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in optimizing plant processes and safety practices.
• Apply quality tools to monitor process performance and product quality.
• Lead or support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.
• Prepare and maintain quality documentation and records.
