Job summary

GAF is seeking a Quality Engineer to support the quality culture at the plant level. You will manage calibrations, COA, raw material and finished goods records, and work with process experts to reduce variation in products and equipment.

You will help meet operational and financial goals such as OEE and MUV, lead QA projects using PI tools, update SOPs and Quality Manual, and train production on Statistical Quality Control to ensure consistent quality across batches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required.
• Chem/Industrial engineering preferred.
• Experience with root cause analysis and SPC.
• Ability to translate technical data to personnel.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot process or equipment issues affecting OEE.
• Manage quality data and testing frequency to control quality.
• Perform routine MSA for the plant and act on results.
• Lead Quality Improvement projects using PI tools (MVT/DOE, Kepner-Tregoe PSDM).
• Collaborate with Quality Manager to execute plans.
• Update SOPs and Quality Manual.
• Educate production on Statistical Quality Control and interpretation.
