Job summary

Manpower Group (USA) is seeking a Quality Engineer 1 for our manufacturing client in Gastonia, NC. You will support inspection and approval processes to ensure top product quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include conducting supplier material inspections, reviewing shipments to ABB Richmond, and documenting data with photos and records. Occasional travel to ABB Richmond may be required; role is onsite with growth potential.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in quality assurance or material inspection roles.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience with sheet metal manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct material inspections at supplier sites to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Review and approve shipments to ABB Richmond, ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Document shipment data through detailed photographs and records.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues related to rejected shipments.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve quality concerns and improve processes.
