Job summary

The Fountain Group is seeking a Quality Engineer for a prominent client in Gastonia, NC. This is a 100% onsite W2 contract position for 1 year with potential extension or conversion.

Responsibilities include hands-on incoming/material inspection in a sheet-metal manufacturing environment, supplier quality oversight, defect documentation, and driving RCA/corrective actions on rejected shipments. Bachelors with 2–3+ years in quality/manufacturing experience required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 2–3+ years in Quality/Manufacturing/Supplier Quality.
• Strong problem solving skills including RCA methodologies (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone).
• Hands-on material/incoming inspection in a sheet-metal manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the quality presence at the supplier.
• Perform hands-on incoming/material inspection and problem solving.
• Inspect supplier-produced parts and document defects, driving corrective actions on rejected material.
