Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company is seeking an Engineer Quality I to support quality engineering, process improvement, testing, inspections, and product development on a fully onsite basis in Moline, IL. The role involves collaborating with senior engineers to identify process gaps and implement robust solutions.

The position is shop-floor oriented, with approximately 80% of time spent standing in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Communications, Business, Computer Science, Data Analytics or related field.
• Open to recent graduates with manufacturing experience.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of engineering design, development, testing, and implementation.
• Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing/shop-floor environment.
• Ability to work onsite and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Support quality engineering assignments involving manufacturing and materials processes.
• Analyze manufacturing processes, systems, equipment, and process requirements.
• Support the development and implementation of engineering solutions and feasibility testing.
• Collect and analyze test data to validate engineering designs and solutions.
• Support the development and evaluation of engineering standards and specifications.
• Perform inspections to evaluate engineering work and equipment integrity.
• Identify quality issues and recommend corrective or remedial actions.
• Coordinate activities with subcontractors and suppliers and serve as a point of contact when required.
• Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures and support change management initiatives.
• Support knowledge management systems and provide guidance to team members.
• Participate in product development and engineering activities.
• Analyze customer requirements and support product delivery using established systems.
• Work within project plans to achieve assigned engineering and quality objectives.
• Support engineering technical operations, health and safety, risk management, and compliance activities.
• Assist with review, reporting, costing, budgeting, and project scheduling activities.
