Job summary

SIG SAUER, Inc. seeks a Quality Engineer I to help ensure the quality of manufactured products, test processes, and develop documentation. This role will monitor quality standards and drive improvements across inspection and testing activities at our Exeter, NH site.

The successful candidate will support ISO-compliant quality systems, engage in 5S and continuous improvement projects, and collaborate with senior engineers to resolve non-conformances and maintain ATF compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient in blueprint reading.
• Understand the ISO process.
• Basic understanding of ATF compliance.
• Understand GD&T symbols per ASME Y14.5.
• Clear, concise communication in written and spoken form.
• Complete tasks timely and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Collect and review inspection data to ensure component integrity and resolve discrepancies.
• Update control plans for correct gauges and operation sequence.
• Collect data for runoff and gauge study.
• Generate CARs to closure under supervision.
• Review and disposition non-conforming material of minor issue complexity.
• Assess issue culpability with assistance from senior staff.
• Identify inspection features and assign dimensional values and tolerances.
• Develop and document ISO-compliant standards with guidance from Senior Engineers.
• Contribute to key inspection areas and participate in 5S and continuous improvement tasks.
• Follow all required Safety and ISO procedures.
