Job summary

Benchmark Electronics in Minnesota seeks a Quality Engineer to design, install, and evaluate QA processes, inspection methods, and sampling systems to assure product quality across manufacturing, testing, and shipping.

You will analyze data, develop control plans, support continuous improvement, and coordinate with customers and suppliers on quality issues. A four-year engineering/technical degree is preferred, with 0-3+ years electronics manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• 4 year Engineering or Technical degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 0-3+ years of electronics manufacturing experience
• Strong QA/quality system knowledge including FDA QSR, ISO, ITAR, IATF

Responsibilities

• Assists in analysis of routine contract requirements to determine quality characteristics and controls.
• Validates SPC limits and controls; audits process and implements corrective actions.
• Reviews contract data item descriptions to ensure compliance with specifications and requirements.
• Creates control plans aligned to customer, product, regulatory and sector requirements.
• Participates in pilot runs and preproduction runs; assists with basic data analysis.
• Reviews production and manufacturing processes for conformance to drawings and contract requirements.
• Establishes quality controls over all production processes and testing during product cycle.
• Prepares reports and corrective action documentation in response to inquiries or complaints.
• Drives corrective and preventive actions for quality issues and nonconformance.
• Develops the site's quality organization to improve problem solving and address customer complaints.
• Performs KPI-driven analysis of reports to identify trends and drive improvements.

Education

4 year Engineering or Technical degree preferred

0-3+ years electronics manufacturing experience
