Job summary

Mortenson Construction is seeking a Quality Engineer to oversee quality control on assigned project scopes, collaborate with senior QM on larger projects, and drive corrective actions. You will help develop and implement the Quality Management Plan, review drawings, and coordinate with subcontractors to ensure compliance.

You will also coordinate third-party testing, manage NCN/RFI processes, and participate in Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives across the project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or related degree by summer 2027.
• Minimum one year of experience within the design, engineering, or construction industry.
• Willing to relocate frequently for project assignments.
• Possess a current driver's license and have access to reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Drive business results and implement the Quality Management Plan for all assigned divisions.
• Prepare/review coordination drawings for assigned scopes of work.
• Develop and understand subcontractor management including scope development and interpretation of plans and specifications.
• Oversee quality inspections and ensure compliance with contract documents.
• Lead project quality control activities and manage NCN/RFI processes.
