Job summary

Crane Aerospace and Electronics in Burbank, CA is seeking a Quality Engineer I to support quality control under supervision, ensuring products meet industry standards and customer requirements.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Suppliers, and Customers; analyze production data; identify trends; perform root cause analyses; and assist in audits and the development of control plans and PFMEAs.

Qualifications

• BA or BS degree in Quality Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 0-2 years of Quality Engineering experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Full color acuity; ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• FAA sensitive position; may be subject to a government security investigation.
• Preferred ASQC Quality Engineer Certification.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Suppliers, and Customers to ensure quality standards are met.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret production data to evaluate product quality and identify trends.
• Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Halt production processes if critical defects are identified to prevent nonconforming material.
• Monitor and maintain quality systems and drive improvements.
• Train team members in quality control methods and statistical analysis.
• Generate reports on nonconformance, root causes, and quality trends for management.
