Job summary

Crane Aerospace and Electronics in Auburn, CA is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our high-performing Quality Team at the Vian Enterprises location. You’ll ensure products meet industry standards, government regulations, and customer requirements, with knowledge of AS9145 and ISO.

The role collaborates with Engineering, Operations, Suppliers, and Customers to drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience: AS9145/APQP knowledge/experience; 5+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer in an Aerospace environment or similar manufacturing setting
• Knowledge: Advanced concepts, practices and procedures of assigned product or program; familiar with field concepts and procedures
• Skills/Abilities: Able to plan and accomplish goals; strong written and verbal communication; teamwork; proficient in MS Office tools

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Operations, Suppliers, and Customers) to ensure product quality and continuous improvement
• Monitor and analyze production data, quality control systems, and critical points to identify and address quality issues
• Lead root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and drive qualification of product/process changes
• Support audits, failure analysis, and reliability testing; produce reports on nonconformance and quality trends
• Review and approve quality-related document changes (ECOs, MCOs, deviations) and drive continuous improvement via data-driven methods
