Job summary

Qarbon Aerospace in Texas seeks a Quality Engineer 1 to support production operations and help define the quality system on assigned projects. The role emphasizes tooling, part fabrication, assembly, and delivery, while deploying FPQ and FAI methods in a fast-paced aerospace setting.

Ideal candidates hold a B.S. in a relevant field, strong communication, and familiarity with CAD, ERP, and GD&T concepts. Join a team focused on quality improvement and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• US citizenship or permanent residency per ITAR.
• Not eligible for visa sponsorship.
• Bachelor of Science in a relevant field (mechanical, manufacturing or aerospace engineering).
• Able to present basic technical information to a limited audience.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office applications.
• Self-motivated and able to prioritize with guidance.
• Experience with aerospace planning/manufacturing execution systems is a plus.
• CAD experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of GD&T, tolerancing and engineering BOM.
• Familiar with ERP processes.
• Familiar with configuration control and change management.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Active clearance preferred; eligible to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Support production with tooling, part fabrication, assembly and delivery.
• Develop quality preventative and inspection processes.
• Deploy FPQ and FAI methods.
• Validate tooling functionality and part conformity.
• Identify and introduce new technology aligned with program value.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers and peers.
• Support supplier selection and Make vs Buy decisions.
