Job summary

FIS in Milwaukee, WI is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to join a Hybrid team. The role focuses on functional testing, test script maintenance, and collaboration with developers to ensure high-quality financial software solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, at least 5 years of QA experience, and proficiency with Jira. This position offers a collaborative, fast-paced environment with in-office and remote work options.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Milwaukee, WI Hybrid (three days in-office, two days virtual)

What You Will Be Doing

• Performing functional testing and communicating activities and findings
• Develops, maintains and upgrades manual or automated test scripts, test cases, utilities, simulators, data sets and other programmatic test tools required to execute test plans
• Providing internal quality assurance
• Create test plans based on user stories and unit testing provided by the developer
• Effectively communicates testing activities and findings in oral and written forms (including daily stand-up meetings, iteration and system demonstrations, and the project management application (Jira))
• Controls and manages own daily test activities
• Provides internal quality assurance
• Supports product owner to identify risks and develops mitigation strategies
• Organizes and maintains the test script repository
• Other related duties assigned as needed

What You Will Need

• Knowledge of methods, tools and technology used in software testing
• Knowledge and use of quality management methods, tools and technology used to create and support defect-free, application software that meets needs of client/business partner and stakeholders
• Ability to work in an agile development environment where developers and testing personnel work closely together to ensure requirements are met or exceeded
• Ability to demonstrate interpersonal and teambuilding skills working with technical and non-technical individualsAbility to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Minimum of 5 years of experience
