Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of professional experience or Master’s with 3 years
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance
• Some experience with use of scientific instrumentation and equipment
• Basic computer and software competencies are required
• Flexibility to occasionally work swing shift and weekends

Responsibilities

• Be familiar with burn rate, viscosity, and other chemical and physical properties testing on propellants to support operational issues
• Fabricate specimens and perform testing on inert materials such as rubber, composites, and adhesives
• Perform maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and calibration of instruments and processes
• Maintain laboratory infrastructure including instruments and tooling
• Design and manage experiments to improve processes and solve related issues
• Maintain neat and accurate records to company standards
• Candidate will be expected to maintain a high standard of operational discipline to support clean, safe, and efficient operations
