Job summary

MacDermid Alpha Electronics Solutions in Fremont is seeking a Quality Engineer to support the Quality Management System, meet customer requirements, and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing processes. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and 3–5 years of relevant experience, with familiarity in ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949.

You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM/technical field (Chemical engineering, engineering, chemistry, etc).
• 3–5 years of relevant Quality Engineer experience.
• Experience with ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949 is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with manufacturing and operations to resolve quality issues.
• Lead PCNs and implement manufacturing changes with timely closures.
• Generate and communicate process change notifications to customers.
• Lead internal audits to improve QMS and ISO/IATF compliance.
• Track CAPA, customer complaints, and action items.
• Collaborate on Quality Improvement programs with error-proofing.
• Understand calibration of devices and gauges; support systems.
• Coordinate with Engineering on CAPA and FMEA linkage.
• Use Minitab, Complaint Pro, JDE, WinLIMS, and Office tools.
• Support customer audits and management reviews.
• Create and update SOPs and work instructions.
• Manage other quality-related projects.
• Oversee generation and transmission of COAs.
• Update WinLims with parameter changes.
• Chemical experience is desirable.
