Job summary

MacDermid Alpha Electronics Solutions is seeking a technically skilled Process Engineer to support and optimize manufacturing processes across specialty chemical operations. You will apply engineering expertise to improve safety, quality, productivity, and operational performance on the shop floor.

The role involves partnering with R&D, Quality, and Operations to scale new products, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with EH&S and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of chemical manufacturing processes and process optimization.
• Ability to interpret process data and identify trends.
• Experience with RCA, Failure Analysis, and corrective action processes.
• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, and operational excellence methodologies.
• Knowledge of process safety management and risk assessments.
• Ability to support and deliver process improvements within timelines and budgets.
• Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to production teams to ensure safe, stable, and efficient manufacturing processes.
• Analyze process data to identify opportunities for improving yield, throughput, quality, reliability, and cost performance.
• Investigate process upsets, deviations, and operational challenges to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Lead and support initiatives focused on process optimization, waste reduction, and energy efficiency.
• Track process performance indicators and use data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Operations to scale and commercialize new products and formulations.
• Develop and execute process improvements through change management and validation activities.
• Ensure processes comply with environmental, health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute engineering expertise to capital projects and debottlenecking efforts.
• Create and maintain operating procedures, process flow diagrams, and technical reports.
• Partner with Maintenance, EHS, Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams.
