Job summary

Electrical Components International (ECI) is seeking a Quality Engineer to support and maintain the quality management system at its Foxborough, MA site. You will lead root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and coordinate with production, engineering, and supply chain to reduce defects and cost of poor quality.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering, 3+ years in quality in high-volume manufacturing, and strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of quality engineering in a process-oriented, high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Wire and cable or wire harness fabrication experience preferred.
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA and release procedures.
• ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 knowledge; ISO 13485 a plus.
• Strong problem-solving using 8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa, DOE.
• Internal audits experience; internal auditor certification desirable.
• Ability to travel to customer and supplier locations, including Mexico.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain the quality management system at the site.
• Develop inspection methods and control plans to verify product release.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues.
• Support APQP activities and prepare PPAP submissions.
• Perform capability studies and SPC analysis to improve process performance.
• Track KPIs and develop action plans for underperforming processes.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce scrap and cost of quality.
• Ensure conformance to ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 requirements.
• Conduct internal audits and close corrective actions; support audits by others.
