Job summary

Crane Currency is seeking a Quality Engineer in Nashua, New Hampshire to strengthen the Quality Management System and drive continuous improvement across the Nashua site. You will use data analysis and structured problem solving to improve product conformance, process control, and customer satisfaction, collaborating with multiple departments and locations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, 3+ years in manufacturing quality, and experience with FMEA, MSA, and control plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, chemical, or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of quality engineering experience, or related experience, in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems, including ISO 9001.
• Proficiency with quality core tools, including FMEA, Measurement Systems Analysis, and Control Plans.
• Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions using 8D, 5 Why, or Fishbone Analysis.
• Strong facilitation and communication skills across stakeholders from leadership to shop floor.

Responsibilities

• Support the Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001 and internal standards.
• Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions using 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone diagrams.
• Provide daily support to manufacturing by addressing quality concerns and guiding containment.
• Analyze quality metrics, customer complaints, scrap, and audits to identify improvements and drive corrective action.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, including supplier and customer audits.
• Develop, review, and maintain quality documentation (PFMEAs, control plans, MSAs, templates).
• Support APQP activities and PPAP submissions as needed.
• Lead or participate in continuous improvement projects to reduce defects, scrap, and customer complaints.
