Job summary

Walmart in Opelousas, LA is seeking a Quality Engineer to drive continuous improvement across our Supply Chain and Distribution Network. You will leverage data analysis and Walmart Performance System (WPS) methodologies to identify opportunities and implement sustainable quality improvements.

Responsibilities include leading CI initiatives, reducing variation, and partnering with operations leaders to ensure compliance and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Microsoft Office Suite and analytical skills.
• Experience applying Lean/Continuous Improvement tools (e.g., Six Sigma, 5S).

Responsibilities

• Lead quality and process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, and other CI tools.
• Analyze KPIs to identify quality losses and performance gaps.
• Develop standardized processes to reduce variation and improve quality outcomes.
• Support area leaders in identifying and executing quality improvement projects.
• Manage corrective action plans for quality deviations and process failures.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and One Best Way procedures.
