Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a Quality Engineer for the Solution Engineering Quality team in a hybrid role based near RTP, NC. You will design and maintain automated tests for Cloud Native architectures spanning SSE, SASE, and SD-WAN platforms.

You will collaborate with development and security teams to identify vulnerabilities and drive post-launch reliability. A strong background in Python/Go, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud testing is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent).
• 4+ years of software quality engineering, testing, or test automation.
• Experience with Python or Go scripting and automation.
• Experience testing cloud-native architectures using Docker, Kubernetes, and public clouds.
• Experience with core networking protocols and VPN tech.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automated testing frameworks for multi-service cloud-native architectures.
• Evaluate architectural risks across functionality, performance, and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify vulnerabilities and root causes.
