Job summary

Magna Seating in Kentucky seeks a Quality Engineer to join our team, supporting supplier quality and product readiness. You will coordinate PPAPs, participate in APQP for new programs and changes, and ensure adherence to IATF16949 and related quality systems.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a quality-related field with at least two years of experience in quality, plus ability to operate CMMs/Optical Comparitors and use standard software.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of two years of experience in a quality related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience in a Quality Engineer role.
• Must be able to operate test equipment (e.g. CMM, Optical Comparitor) and be proficient with common software applications.
• Experience supporting supplier quality, PPAP, APQP and quality management processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and report supplier performance and quality trends.
• Approve supplier PPAP and customer PPAP packages as required.
• Coordinate APQP for new programs and product changes.
• Act as IATF16949:2016 Management Representative or lead auditor as needed.
• Lead or participate in QOS team activities and CAPA processes.
• Develop and maintain Control Plans and PFMEA, including receiving controls.
