Job summary

MJ Recruiters, LLC is seeking a quality engineer for an established automotive supplier in Mansfield, OH. You will report to the Quality Manager and work with a team of quality professionals on the manufacturing floor to drive improvements and ensure product quality.

This hands-on role requires collaboration with hourly and salary staff, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving, with travel up to 10% to customer sites. Benefits include medical/dental, 401K, life insurance, and a bonus potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree ideally in a technical field; experience considered in lieu of degree.
• At least three years in quality engineering within automotive suppliers or OEMs or fast-paced mass production.
• Proficient in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Experience communicating with customers.
• Knowledge of FMEAs and control plans.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with key customers and serve as the point of contact for quality issues.
• Determine root cause of quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Assist the manufacturing floor with quality issues and concerns.
• Review control plans.
• Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly customer and management reports.
• Assist area managers and process engineers with problem solving.
• Monitor and update portals.
• Champion formal problem solving teams.
• Perform defect analysis in a lab setting.
• Supervise the gage and SPC processes.
• Support new model launch activities.
• Utilize Minitab software on analyses.
• Additional responsibilities as delegated by the manager.
