Calqulate in Mansfield, OH, is seeking a hands-on Quality Engineer to join our fast-paced automotive supply team. You will report to the Quality Manager and work with a cross-functional group on quality issues on the manufacturing floor.

The ideal candidate has a technical bachelor's degree and at least three years of automotive quality experience, strong root-cause and problem-solving skills, and the ability to travel up to 10%.

• Root cause analysis and corrective actions experience.

• Microsoft Office proficiency.

Established automotive supplier is seeking a Quality Engineer to join their fast-paced team. As the Quality Engineer, you will report to the Quality Manager and work with a team of quality professionals. Daily you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Communicate with key customers and serve as the point of contact for quality issues
• Determine root cause of quality issues and implement corrective actions
• Assist the manufacturing floor with quality issues and concerns
• Review control plans
• Complete weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for customers and management
• Assist area managers and process engineers with problem solving

This is a hands-on position that requires qualified candidates to be on the manufacturing floor up to 50% of their day. Candidates should enjoy working in a team-oriented environment and communicating with hourly and salary staff within different departments to drive quality improvements. Candidates should be able to work in fast-paced environments, work independently and take ownership of their projects. Proactive thinkers are encouraged to apply! Travel to customer sites and sister plants will be up to 10% of the time; most travel is within driving distance.

REQUIREMENTS for the Quality Engineer:

• Bachelor's degree, ideally in a technical field; experience will be considered in lieu of degree
• At least three years of similar quality engineering experience with an automotive supplier or OEM or in fast-paced, mass production manufacturing environments
• Root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Formal problem solving skills
• Experience communicating with customers
• Working knowledge of FMEAs and control plans
• Microsoft Office

Skills preferred but NOT required:

• Statistical process control (SPC)
• Quality certifications
• 5WHY experience
• Mechanical aptitude
• Supervision of others
• Gage and/or metrology experience

Candidates are preferred to be local to the Mansfield, OH area. There is a conservative relocation package available for regional candidates who meet all of the requirements.
