Profitable, stable manufacturer is seeking a Quality Engineer to report to the Quality Manager, work with another Quality Engineer and partner closely with production and engineering. Candidates will be assigned to specific automotive OEMs and will work to reduce quality issues and support operations and production launches. Responsibilities will include:

1. Ideally a Bachelor's degree; experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
2. At least four years of quality engineering experience in a mass production machining environment OR with a tier I or tier II automotive supplier
3. Experience leading root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
4. Formal problem solving skills, such as 8D, 5WHY, etc.
5. Document control experience, such as control plans, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, etc.
6. Ability to read blueprints, ideally with GD&T experience
7. Working knowledge of calipers, micrometers, gauges and other quality tools
8. Microsoft Office
1. ERP system experience
2. Lean/Six Sigma methodologies
3. Customer communication
4. Experience with product launches
5. Strong continuous improvement background with proven examples of scrap reductions, efficiency improvements, etc.
6. SPC experience, including SPC software
