Job summary

Get Covered LLC seeks a Quality Engineer specializing in both automation and manual testing to ensure reliability and performance of our applications. You will collaborate with product, DevOps, and development teams while scaling a high-quality PropTech product that serves thousands of users.

The role requires 4–7 years in QA, hands-on with automation tools (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress), API testing, and strong test planning.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Software Testing.
• Strong experience with both manual and automated testing practices.
• Hands-on with Selenium, Playwright or Cypress and similar tools.
• Experience testing REST/SOAP APIs using Postman or ReadyAPI.
• Good test planning, bug tracking and reporting (JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr).
• Working knowledge of SQL and database testing; CI/CD exposure.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Experience deploying apps that leverage AI/LLM tech is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test cases using Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Perform manual testing for UI, API, and integrations when automation is not feasible.
• Collaborate with product managers and developers to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Own test case creation, execution, defect tracking, and reporting.
• Participate in design reviews and identify issues early in the lifecycle.
• Build or enhance test frameworks for UI, API, and database validation.
• Help define QE best practices, tools, and standards.
• Maintain documentation for testing artifacts and regression suites.
• Work in Agile/Scrum environments and contribute to sprints and retrospectives.

We're looking for highly motivated and detail-orientedQuality Engineers (QEs)with a strong background in both manual testing and test automation. In this role, you'll help us maintain the reliability and performance of our applications through rigorous testing, deep analysis, and continuous collaboration with development, product, and DevOps teams.
You will be instrumental in helping us scale a high-quality product that touches thousands of lives across the property and insurance technology landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test cases using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress
• Perform manual testing for UI, API, and integrations when automation is not feasible
• Collaborate closely with product managers and developers to understand requirements and ensure full test coverage

Requirements

• 4-7 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Software Testing
• Strong experience with both manual and automated testing practices
• Hands-on experience with automation tools like Selenium, Playwright, Cypress , or equivalent
• Experience testing REST/SOAP APIs using Postman, ReadyAPI, or similar tools
• Good understanding of test planning, bug tracking , and reporting (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr)
• Working knowledge of SQL and database testing
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and test integration (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset
• Experience deploying applications that leverage AI/LLM technologies (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar frameworks) to enhance product functionality and user experience is strongly preferred.

Nice to Have

• Experience with performance or load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Locust)
• Background in testing enterprise SaaS or PropTech applications
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
