Job summary

Zoho is seeking a QA Engineer to own product quality end-to-end. You will define test plans, create test cases, and execute functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing across web applications.

You’ll perform API testing, validate data and integrations, and help drive automation and QA process improvements. This role is 100% remote with a flexible, outcomes-driven schedule, collaborating with product and engineering teams globally.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in software testing/QA, preferably with web applications.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, STLC, and defect life cycle.
  • Experience creating and executing test cases and test scenarios.
  • Strong experience with functional and regression testing.
  • Good understanding of API testing using Postman or similar.
  • SQL/database testing knowledge.
  • Experience with bug-tracking and project-management tools such as Jira, Asana, or similar.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify edge cases.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into test scenarios.
  • Strong communication skills; able to work with developers and product teams.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum environment.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in requirement discussions and identify potential edge cases and quality risks before development is completed.
  • Perform regression testing for new releases and ensure existing functionality is not affected.
  • Contribute to improving QA processes, testing standards, and release workflows.
  • Support automation initiatives where applicable and identify opportunities to reduce repetitive manual testing.
  • Take ownership of the quality of features from requirement analysis through release.

Job description

Requirements

3+ years of hands-on experience in software testing/QA, preferably with web applications.

Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, STLC, and defect life cycle.

Experience creating and executing test cases and test scenarios.

Strong experience with functional and regression testing.

Good understanding of API testing using tools such as Postman or similar.

Basic to good understanding of SQL/database testing.

Experience working with bug-tracking and project-management tools such as Jira, Asana, or similar.

Strong attention to detail and an ability to identify edge cases.

Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into meaningful test scenarios.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with developers and product teams.

Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Good to Have

Experience with automation testing using Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar tools.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and release processes.

Experience testing SaaS products, APIs, third-party integrations, or AI-powered applications.

Experience with performance, security, or accessibility testing.
