Job summary

Autoliv United States is seeking a Quality Engineer to support proactive and reactive quality improvements across production. You will design and implement inspection methods, perform statistical analysis, and collaborate with engineering to uphold strict quality standards.

Responsibilities include PPAP, CP, DIS, LAT documentation, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions. Travel and after-hours support may be required across three shifts; a Bachelor's degree and 1–5 years of experience are

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • 1–5 years of experience preferred.
  • Ability to take ownership for work and make effective decisions.
  • Passport may be required for duties traveling abroad.
  • Availability after hours and some weekends across 3 shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Supports and ensures the accurate execution of proactive and reactive quality improvement projects.
  • Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
  • Designs or specifies inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis.
  • Assists in creating engineering documentation and reports such as PPAP, CP, DIS, TPA, AS412 instructions, LAT, and test summary reports.
  • Leads root cause analysis efforts and corrective action implementation.
  • Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards, and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
  • Collaborates with other engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
  • Assists in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality.
  • Has good listening skills. Follows written and verbal instructions.
  • Understanding of DOE and SPC concepts as it relates to process control.
  • Experience in SolidWorks & AutoCAD is a plus.
  • Provides feedback/recommendations to leadership as appropriate.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
