Job summary

Autoliv United States is seeking a Process Engineer to develop, implement, and sustain manufacturing processes that ensure safety, quality and cost-effective production. You will support day-to-day production, drive continuous improvement, and enable successful product launches.

The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, data-driven problem solving, and collaboration with Quality, Maintenance and Production teams to raise performance and reduce waste.

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field; CMgE or CMgET certification is a plus.
  • 2--5 years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or high-volume production environments.
  • Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve process and equipment issues on the shop floor.
  • Experience with root cause analysis (8D, 5 Why), SPC, process capability analysis, and Lean/continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Flexibility to work in a production environment, support off-shift operations, travel occasionally, and work extended hours during product launches or critical manufacturing events.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, optimize, and validate manufacturing processes to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and successful new product launches.
  • Monitor process performance using SPC and data analysis tools, identifying opportunities for process improvement and optimization.
  • Lead root cause investigations using methodologies such as 8D and 5 Why, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Provide real-time production support by troubleshooting equipment and resolving process-related issues to minimize downtime.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through Lean and Six Sigma methodologies while collaborating with Quality, Maintenance, and Production teams.
