Job summary

Aeon seeks a Quality Engineer to help build a world-class manufacturing organization as we transition from NPI to full-rate production of complex guided-munition subassemblies and final assemblies. You will establish and strengthen quality systems to meet ISO 9001 and AS9100 requirements, collaborating with supply chain, manufacturing and product engineering teams.

The role is full-time, in-person in Austin, TX, with plans to move to Cedar Park in 2027.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Quality, Mechanical, Industrial) is required.
Six Sigma Green Belt is required.
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or equivalent certification.
Experience with PFMEA, control plans, and MSA (Gage R&R) is needed.
Experience building or operating a formal corrective action/nonconformance system.
Ability to establish systems and discipline in a rapidly growing organization.

Responsibilities

Support PFMEA risk assessment and validation of Control Plans.
Lead measurement system analysis and validation to ensure defined inspection methods are capable.
Develop and maintain the nonconformance and corrective action process with auditable records.
Establish incoming quality inspection for purchased components.
Build outgoing/final inspection and test processes.
Support IQ/OQ/PQ qualification activities for new processes/equipment.
Establish the stage-gate development process and participate in product gate reviews.
Drive toward AS9100 compliance by formalizing validated practices into procedures.
Support first-article inspection and post-exit production monitoring where full capability studies aren’t feasible.
