Job summary

Critical Fit Recruiting seeks a Quality Engineer to support AS9100 compliance for energetic components in the St. Louis, MO area. You will help ensure product integrity across design, manufacturing, and delivery to meet strict defense industry standards.

You will lead inspections, root-cause analysis, and QMS maintenance, collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers, and supporting audits and government inspections to uphold AS9100/DoD requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• Experience with AS9100/ISO 9001 systems and a solid quality foundation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality plans and inspection procedures for energetic components per military specs.
• Perform and oversee in-process and final inspections, including FAI reviews and lot acceptance testing.
• Lead RCCA investigations for internal nonconformances, customer complaints, and supplier escapes; close CARs.
• Support internal audits, customer source inspections, and Government QAR visits; act as QA contact.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to review and approve process changes and new product introductions from QA perspective.
• Analyze quality data (scrap, yield, defects) to identify systemic issues and drive improvements.
• Maintain and support the QMS in compliance with AS9100 and regulatory requirements.
