Job summary

Riverbend Energetics is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join the Quality department, supporting design, manufacture, and delivery of life-critical energetic components for the U.S. defense industry.

You will safeguard product integrity and ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and DoD requirements. You will lead inspections, drive RCCA and CAR closure, manage QA documentation, and interface with engineering, manufacturing, and government representatives to sustain high standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of quality engineering experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with RCCA methodologies (8D, 5-Why) and corrective actions.
  • Working knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001.
  • Familiarity with military specifications and GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
  • Proficiency with quality tools including control plans, FMEAs, MSA/gauge R&R, and SPC.
  • Strong written and verbal communication with customers and government representatives.
  • U.S. citizen required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality plans and inspection procedures for energetic components.
  • Perform in-process and final inspections, review FAI reports, and manage non-conforming material dispositions.
  • Lead RCCA investigations and drive timely closure of CARs.
  • Support internal audits, customer source inspections, and Government QAR visits.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to review process changes.
  • Analyze quality data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain QMS in compliance with AS9100 and regulatory requirements, including calibration and documentation control.
