Job summary

American Rheinmetall is seeking a Quality/APQP Lead in Slidell, LA to drive end-to-end APQP development for new programs and oversee manufacturing quality during product introductions. You will coordinate cross-functional teams and supplier collaboration to ensure processes meet rigorous standards.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing quality, strong problem-solving, and familiarity with defense industry practices; travel up to 10% may be expected.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of AS9100D/IATF16949/ISO9001 standards.
• Knowledge of APQP and AS9145.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Lead the APQP Development process (PFD, PFMEA, Control Plans, etc) for specific programs.
• Provide oversight of manufacturing quality during new product introduction.
• Coordinate and chair APQP meetings and document action items.
• Develop test methods and procedures to support validation efforts.
• Perform validation tests to meet customer specifications.
• Lead quality reviews throughout development with customers and internal teams.
• Develop and implement programs to improve product quality and processes.
• Collaborate with design, R&D, production and outside suppliers.
