ACME Industries in Elk Grove Village, IL seeks a Quality Engineer to own customer quality performance across two precision CNC facilities. You will drive PPAPs, control plans, FMEAs, and inspection oversight to maintain AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 compliance.

You will apply GD&T and CMM skills, interface with customers and suppliers, and lead 8D problem‑solving and continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in a related engineering discipline.
• 3–5+ years quality engineering experience in precision machining, aerospace, or defense manufacturing.
• Hands-on CMM experience — operation and programming.
• Strong command of GD&T and ASME Y14.5 — interpret drawings for inspection planning.
• Experience developing control plans, FMEAs, and leading PPAP submittals.
• Working knowledge of AS9100D or ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems.

Aufgaben

• Operate and program CMMs and develop inspection routines for complex parts.
• Interpret drawings using GD&T and ASME Y14.5 to develop inspection plans.
• Develop and maintain control plans and FMEAs for assigned programs.
• Lead PPAP submissions and first article inspections.
• Support AS9100D/ISO 9001:2015 compliance and internal audits.
• Lead 8D investigations and continuous improvement on the shop floor.
• Interface with customers and suppliers on quality matters and corrective actions.
