Job summary

Leidos’ Colorado Manufacturing Facility is seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure machined components and assemblies meet strict quality standards. You will support documentation, troubleshooting, and non-conformance tracking, directly impacting mission-critical hypersonic defense systems.

The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to work with engineers, inspectors, and program leaders in a fast-paced environment. Residency in Colorado Springs area is needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of experience.
• Experience with non-conforming material and root-cause analysis.
• Experience writing QA procedures and AS9100 documentation.
• Ability to read blueprints and CAD models.
• Capable of lifting up to 35 lbs.
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing, assembly, integration, and testing for aerospace and defense.
• Develop inspection procedures and process plans; review nonconformance docs.
• Review and approve drawings and process plans.
• Perform quality inspections of components and assemblies.
• Document nonconforming materials and coordinate MRB.
• Support quality metrics collection and corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to AS9100 and regulatory requirements.
