Job summary

Leidos’ Defense Sector, Colorado Manufacturing Facility, is seeking a Quality Engineer on 2nd shift (2:30 PM–12:30 AM) to ensure machined components meet drawings and specifications. You’ll support documentation, troubleshooting, nonconformance tracking, and root cause/corrective actions, impacting the performance and reliability of mission‑critical hypersonic defense systems.

The environment is fast‑paced, demanding attention to detail, self-direction, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience or a master’s degree with 2 years in quality/aerospace.
• Experience with nonconforming material and corrective actions.
• Ability to read blueprints and AS9100 documentation.
• Willingness to work 2nd shift and relocate to the Colorado Springs area.

Responsibilities

• Support QA for aerospace manufacturing, inspections, and testing.
• Develop inspection procedures and QA checklists.
• Review drawings and process plans for quality attributes.
• Document nonconforming materials and coordinate dispositions.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions with teams.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100 and customer requirements.
