Job summary

John Deere in Waterloo, IA, is seeking a Quality Engineer for the 3rd shift in Factory Engineering. You will provide production support, lead quality planning, control plans, and drive continuous improvement.

Candidates should have 1+ years in quality/manufacturing engineering, GD&T knowledge, and experience with quality tools (FMEA, SPC, MSA, Capability Studies). Familiarity with BI tools is a plus. This is an onsite role with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

1+ years of related experience in quality or manufacturing engineering in a manufacturing environment.
Experience using standard quality management principles and tools such as FMEA, SPC, Root Cause, Control Plans, Gauge R&R, MSA and Capability Studies.
Experience with gear or shaft manufacturing standards, processes, and controls.
Experience reading complex part drawings with GD&T principles and terminology.

Responsibilities

Provides production support for containment, inspections, quality procedures, and tools to monitor critical processes.
Support operations with quality planning, control, and continuous improvement initiatives to meet customer expectations.
Report defined quality metrics to operations teams and Leadership.
Availability to work during the 3rd shift
