Job summary
John Deere is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for Assembly in Dubuque, IA. You will support assembly operations, collaborate with cross-functional teams on continuous improvement projects, and establish layouts and labor standards to optimize safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
Onsite position with a robust total rewards package. Commerce-ready role requiring a Bachelor's in Engineering or Operations and experience in manufacturing environments.
Qualifications
- Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering experience from educational projects, internships, or practical work experience.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality, tooling, preventative maintenance, and facilities.
- Experience with engineering tools and systems.
Responsibilities
- Provide support and basic trouble shooting for current assembly operations
- Work with cross functional teams to identify and implement continuous improvement projects for safety, quality, delivery and cost
- Establish and maintain layouts, labor standards, methods and sequence of events for assembly operations
- Support moderate to large scope operations improvement projects
