Job summary

CSAT Solutions LP in Houston seeks a Quality Engineer 1 to support the quality organization. You will assist in developing and applying quality requirements, analyzing data, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes compliance with ISO 9001 and use of problem-solving methods, with opportunities to contribute to product inspection, process capability studies, and advancement through training and certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• 1+ years in electronics quality position preferred.
• English proficiency required for communication.
• Intermediate Excel skills and emails/written messaging.
• Familiarity with inspection and analysis tools/methods.
• Proven problem-solving ability and time management.
• Preferred Six Sigma Green Belt and CQE certifications.
• IPC-610 and IPC7711/7721 training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, applying and maintaining quality requirements.
• Collect data and perform statistical analysis for continuous improvement.
• Provide testing, process capability and repeatability studies.
• Prepare instructions for inspecting products and training.
• Assist new product introduction and process readiness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for product improvements.
• Support continuous improvement activities and change recommendations.
• Help meet ISO 9001 and other quality system requirements.

We are currently seeking qualified candidates to fill the role of a Quality Engineer 1.

Role And Responsibilities

• Assists developing, applying and maintaining quality requirements
• Collects data and performs statistical analysis of processes for application in continuous improvement efforts
• Provides special testing, process capability studies, repeatability studies
• Assists with the preparation of instructions and procedures for use in inspecting products for mechanical and aesthetic criteria, and for use in training
• Assists new product introduction, process readiness and training
• Partners with cross functional teams to initiate product improvements
• Assists with continuous improvement activities.
• Recommends process and/or design improvements including: developing and maintaining new failure analysis methods, corrective actions suggestions, material and component analysis and suggestions of change
• Assists as directed in meeting department goals and objectives as established by the Quality department Manager or director
• Responsible for meeting ISO 9001 and/or other quality system requirements in their department
• Other duties as assigned

Skills, Education and Training

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field required
• 1 or more years of demonstrated success in an electronics quality position;
• Proficient English abilities required
• Email and written messaging with intermediate Excel knowledge
• Excellent knowledge of tools and methods related to inspection and analysis (prefer computer environment)
• Proven experience in successful problem solving
• Excellent time-management skills
• Preferred certifications: Certified six sigma green belt, CQE
• Preferred training and certifications: IPC-610, IPC7711/7721
