Job summary

StaffBright is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer in Troy, MI to support customer quality activities for an established automotive supplier. This hands-on role requires direct interaction with OEM customers, troubleshooting electrical components at customer sites, and coordinating quality issues through root cause, containment, corrective action, and resolution.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in Customer Quality within automotive, hands-on fault finding, and familiarity with 8D, 5 Why,

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Customer Quality experience within the automotive industry.
• Direct OEM customer-facing experience, including troubleshooting electrical components at OEM customer sites.
• Experience with CANoe or similar automotive diagnostic/communication technologies.
• Experience with 8D, 5 Why, APQP, and Poka-Yoke.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary quality contact for OEM and Tier 1 customers, managing quality concerns through resolution.
• Visit customer sites to investigate field concerns, troubleshoot electrical components, and support containment activities.
• Coordinate root cause analysis, corrective actions, 8D, 5 Why, APQP, and Poka-Yoke activities.
• Work with Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams across multiple locations to resolve customer issues.
• Communicate with customers and suppliers regarding quality concerns, escalations, and corrective actions.
