Job summary

RESRG Automotive, Portageville facility, is seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure automotive trim products meet quality standards and customer requirements. You will drive root cause analysis, CAPA, and continuous improvement across manufacturing processes.

The role requires experience in manufacturing quality engineering, knowledge of IATF 16949, and cross-functional collaboration to prevent recurrence and uphold supplier performance.

Qualifications

  • Experience in quality engineering in manufacturing.
  • Proficient in root cause analysis using 5-Why, Ishikawa (Fishbone), or 8D methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement quality control systems to ensure compliance with customer specifications, regulatory requirements, and IATF 16949 standards.
  • Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions (RCA/CAPA) to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and design, to integrate quality standards and prevent recurrence.
  • Conduct audits and inspections to verify compliance with internal procedures, customer requirements, and industry standards.
  • Analyze quality data (e.g., SPC, capability studies) to identify trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare and maintain essential quality documentation, including control plans, inspection records, and performance metrics.
  • Train and mentor team members on quality procedures and best practices to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Serve as the primary customer liaison for quality issues, coordinating containment, root cause analysis, and corrective actions using OEM tools and reporting systems (e.g., 8D reports).

RESRG Automotive is seeking a Quality Engineering professional who is passionate about customer satisfaction and continuous improvement. In this critical role, you will ensure our automotive trim products meet or exceed internal and customer quality standards, while driving root cause analysis, supporting issue resolution, and fostering operational excellence across the manufacturing process.

What you Will do in Your Role

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Experience in quality engineering in the manufacturing industry
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to conduct thorough root cause analysis using 5-Why, Fishboan (Ishikawa), or 8D methodologies
What Will Put You Ahead
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related technical field
  • Data analysis and quality methodologies, including Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and statistical process control (SPC)
  • IATF 16949, ISO9004 and customer specific quality standards application experience
