Job summary

RESRG Automotive in Newbern, TN is seeking a Quality Supervisor to lead quality from lab to production, ensuring data integrity and adherence to IATF 16949 standards. You will coach teams and drive continuous improvement across the manufacturing facility.

You will monitor standard work, train staff including GP12 and floor auditors, manage performance reviews, and develop inspection documents while presenting weekly KPIs to plant and corporate leadership.

• Experience in employee relations, progressive discipline, and counseling of employees.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support Gaging and EIT Lab, ensuring measurement accuracy and data integrity; implement improvements to lab efficiency.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with standard work instructions and quality procedures.
• Provide coaching, conduct performance reviews, and support development of quality staff including GP12 and floor auditors.
• Escalate and support resolution of out-of-control conditions with containment activities following customer complaints.
• Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements and IATF 16949 standards.
• Participate in PFMEA reviews and updates.
• Use data and lab results to support 8D problem solving.
• Develop and maintain work instructions, inspection documents, and quality standards.
• Prepare and present weekly/monthly quality KPIs to plant and corporate leadership.
• Drive continuous improvement and scrap reduction through data-driven initiatives.

Your Job

Lead quality excellence from lab to production – drive compliance, coach high-performing teams, and champion continuous improvement across the manufacturing facility.

What you Will do in Your Role

• Lead and support the Gaging and EIT Lab, ensuring accurate measurement systems and data integrity while identifying and implements improvements to increase lab efficiency and accuracy
• Monitor and enforce compliance with standard work instructions and quality procedures
• Provide coaching, conduct performance reviews, and support professional development of quality staff including training and scheduling for GP12 and floor auditors
• Escalate and support resolution of out-of-control conditions with appropriate reaction plans to include containment activities in response to customer complaints
• Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements and IATF 16949 standards
• Participate in and support PFMEA reviews and updates
• Utilize measurement data and lab results to support 8D problem-solving initiatives
• Develop and maintain work instructions, inspection documents, and quality standards
• Prepare and present weekly/monthly quality KPIs to plant and corporate leadership
• Drive continuous improvement and scrap reduction efforts through data-driven initiatives by analyzing quality data and monitoring trends to identify root cause
