Job summary

RESRG Automotive is seeking a Quality Engineer for our Newbern, TN facility to drive quality improvements across product and process. This hands-on role collaborates with design, engineering and operations to meet customer requirements and expand our quality systems.

The ideal candidate has manufacturing quality experience, SPC knowledge, and a Bachelor’s in Engineering or STEM. IATF 16949 knowledge and ASQ CQE certification are a plus. This role not eligible for sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Quality function in a manufacturing environment.
• Statistical Process Control knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of quality systems to meet internal and external customer requirements.
• Plan and participate in improvement activities to ensure quality systems continue to meet and exceed all customer requirements.
• Develop documents to support ISO/TS 16949 requirements (PPAP, FEMA’s, Control Plans, PSW’S, etc.)
• Serve as primary quality contact between customers, suppliers and plant operations
• Assist in the implementation of lean principles in the quality systems and program management on new products

Your Job

We are seeking a quality engineering professional with a passion for customer focus and creating value through continuous improvement in product and process. The ideal candidate will possess the skills and knowledge sought below but, of equal importance, he or she will be self-motivated, possess a positive attitude, and be a creative thinker. This is a “hands-on” position that will work across the organization.

What you Will do in Your Role

• Assist in the development of quality systems to meet internal and external customer requirements
• Plan and participate in improvement activities to ensure quality systems continue to meet and exceed all customer requirements
• Develop documents to support ISO/TS 16949 requirements (PPAP, FEMA’s, Control Plans, PSW’S, etc.)

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Knowledge of IATF 16949
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer
• Experience in plastic injection molding, paint, and/or assembly operations
