Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking a Quality Engineer – PCBA & Electro-Mechanical Systems to help ensure reliability of PCBA and electro-mechanical products used in demanding environments. You’ll work across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain to strengthen processes, drive defect reduction, and ensure audit-ready compliance.

Qualifications

  • Strong problem-solving and RCA leadership.
  • Experience with ISO 9001, CAPA, SPC, supplier quality.
  • 5+ years in manufacturing/PCBA assembly quality.
  • Data-driven mindset and effective cross-functional communication.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MES systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Advantage: ASQ CQE or Lean Six Sigma certification.
  • Advantage: IPC standards (A-610, J-STD-001) and ISO 9001:2015 internal auditor certification.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve a QMS aligned to ISO 9001:2015.
  • Develop inspection plans for manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • Analyse yield, scrap, rework, and defect trends to drive improvements.
  • Lead root cause analysis (5 Whys, Fishbone, FTA) and manage CAPA/FACAR.
  • Own incoming inspection and guide QC personnel.
  • Partner with PCBA suppliers; drive SCARs and performance gains.
  • Support NPI (PFMEA, validation, FAI).
  • Advance Lean/Six Sigma efforts and reduce COPQ.
  • Track KPIs and present clear, data‑driven insights.
