Job summary

Teledyne Reynolds, a Teledyne Defense Electronics unit, seeks a QA-focused engineer to support program quality and customer interface across high-reliability applications. You will ensure requirements flow-down, review returns, and lead investigation efforts with cross-functional teams.

You will contribute to continuous improvement via RCCA, 5 Why, and fishbone analyses while working within ISO 9001/AS9100 environments and leveraging MS Office tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or related STEM discipline.
  • Understanding of customer contract review and quality requirement flow downs.
  • 3 years QA or related engineering experience (aerospace/aviation preferred).
  • Ability to read and interpret Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing drawings.
  • Experience in ISO 9001/AS9100 quality management system environments.
  • Familiar with mechanical inspection techniques and measurement tools.

Responsibilities

  • Program quality support and customer interface.
  • Review customer quality requirements and ensure products/processes meet requirements.
  • Review customer returns and conduct product failure investigations.
  • Manage material review (waivers, deviations, discrepancy reporting).
  • Conduct and support internal audits.
  • Develop quality documentation.

Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Program quality support and customer interface
  • Review customer quality requirements and ensure products and processes meet requirements
  • Review customer returns
  • Product failure investigation
  • Material review management (waivers, deviations, discrepancy reporting)
  • Conduct and support internal audits
  • Quality documentation development
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or other STEM related discipline
  • Understanding of customer contract review, quality requirement flow downs
  • 3 years quality assurance or related engineering experience (aerospace/aviation preferred)
  • Must be able to read and interpret Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing drawings including specifications, standards and procedures
  • Experience working in an ISO 9001/AS9100 quality management system environment
  • Must be familiar with the application and use of mechanical inspection techniques and measurement tools
  • Experience in managing calibration preferred.
  • Experience in RCCA/PA, continuous improvement, fishbone analysis, and 5 Why methodologies
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (i.e. customer and supplier interface)
  • Extensive familiarity and practical use of computer applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Preferred skills and capabilities:
  • Ability to set and achieve goals
  • Understanding of quality processes
  • Familiarity with DCMA/Gov’t Source Inspection
  • Knowledge of six sigma tools
  • Statistical software, (i.e. Minitab, JMP, R)
  • Green Belt certified
  • CMM Programming
  • Ability to work independently

Please note the salary range posted above is a general guideline for this job level and location. When extending an offer, a variety of factors are considered such as responsibilities of the position, relevant education and experience, certifications, knowledge and skills.

Salary Range:

$62,800.00-$83,700.000

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
