Job summary

Toyota Material Handling North America in Muscatine, IA seeks a Quality Engineer to partner with Operations, Engineering, and Suppliers to tackle technical problems in electro-mechanical assemblies and embedded software. The role emphasizes problem solving, process development, and cross-functional teamwork in a hands-on environment.

You will contribute to quality initiatives, interpret GD&T with drawings, and apply lean best practices while advancing continuous improvement across manufacturing

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an applicable engineering field, computer science, or professional license.
  • Experience with GD&T and engineering drawings interpretation.
  • Knowledge of quality systems used in manufacturing or software development.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and MS Project.
  • Experience with Toyota Production Systems and Part Production Approval Process.
  • Understanding of lean techniques and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Use extensive technical skills and knowledge of quality techniques as applied to electro-mechanical assemblies and fabricated parts.
  • Develop processes/procedures for Quality Management systems.
  • Evaluate technical quality issues and develop solutions with documentation provided.
  • Understand manufacturing processes with expertise in electronics, mechanical assemblies, and welded parts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams internally and externally.
  • Lead and complete large quality system projects.
  • Provide quality assurance for software development pertaining to embedded systems and telematics.
  • Serve as the quality lead for alternate energy storage systems and AGV.

WhatYou’llBe Doing:

  • Use extensive technical skills,expertise, and knowledge of quality techniques as applied to electro-mechanicalassemblies,fabrication, weldingtechniques,harnesses and cables, and formulated materials.
  • Develop processes/procedures for Quality Management systems
  • Evaluate technical quality issues and develop solutions with documentation provided
  • Understandmanufacturing processes withexpertisein electronics, electronic assemblies,harnesses,mechanical assemblies as well as fabricated, machined, and welded parts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams internally and externally.
  • Be a key member of the team in completion and resolution of large, consequential quality system projects.
  • Be knowledgeable in quality assurance for software developmentpertaining toembedded systems, and telematics.
  • You’llbe the go-to for quality assurance for alternate energy storage systems and auto-guided vehicles.

WhatYour Total Compensation & Benefits Package willlook like:

Salary -$64,440- $106,800per year. Compensation depends on the selected candidate’s education and experience.
