Toyota Material Handling North America is seeking a Quality Engineer for its Muscatine, IA facility. You will partner with Operations, Engineering and Suppliers to resolve technical problems, develop QA processes, and drive quality improvements across electro-mechanical assemblies and software for embedded systems.

You should bring hands-on quality experience, GD&T capability, and a focus on lean methods. This in-person role offers growth in a collaborative, cross-functional environment with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an applicable engineering field, computer science, or professional license.
• Previous quality engineering or related experience.
• Ability to interpret GD&T engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of quality systems used in manufacturing environments or software development.

Responsabilités

• Apply quality techniques to electro-mechanical assemblies, fabrication, welding, harnesses and cables.
• Develop processes and procedures for Quality Management systems.
• Evaluate technical quality issues and develop documentation-based solutions.
• Understand manufacturing with expertise in electronics, assemblies, harnesses and mechanical parts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams internally and externally.
• Lead quality system projects to completion and resolution.
• Provide quality assurance for embedded software and telematics.
• Serve as quality point of contact for alternate energy storage systems and AGVs.

The Role:

In this role,you’llwork closely with Operations, Engineering, and Suppliers to evaluate and resolve technical problems while collaborating with a dynamic and diverse team to achieve shared goals. WhatYou’llBe Doing:

• Use extensive technical skills,expertise, and knowledge of quality techniques as applied to electro-mechanicalassemblies,fabrication, weldingtechniques,harnesses and cables, and formulated materials.
• Develop processes/procedures for Quality Management systems
• Evaluate technical quality issues and develop solutions with documentation provided
• Understandmanufacturing processes withexpertisein electronics, electronic assemblies,harnesses,mechanical assemblies as well as fabricated, machined, and welded parts
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams internally and externally.
• Be a key member of the team in completion and resolution of large, consequential quality system projects.
• Be knowledgeable in quality assurance for software developmentpertaining toembedded systems, and telematics.
• You’llbe the go-to for quality assurance for alternate energy storage systems and auto-guided vehicles.

• Experience with Toyota Production Systems
• Experience with Part Production Approval Process
• Understanding of lean techniques and continuous improvement

• Travel isrequiredapproximately 25% of the time - both domestic and international.

WhatYour Total Compensation & Benefits Package willlook like:

Salary -$64,440- $106,800per year. Compensation depends on the selected candidate’s education and experience.
